What you get, what it costs, and what happens when something goes wrong.
These terms cover the paid hosted subscription to CatchUpCast and CatchUpGist, operated by P3 Digital Services LLC. If you run the software yourself with your own API keys, you are not buying anything from us and only the privacy policy applies.
The short version. You pay monthly. There is a fair-use allowance sized to what you pay, and if you pass it your digests pause until your next billing date — nothing is deleted and nothing is lost. Cancel whenever you like and you keep the time you have paid for. If we get something wrong, tell us and we will try to make it right.
Who can subscribe. You must be 18 or older to use CatchUpCast or CatchUpGist.
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. The price is whatever was shown when you subscribed. If we change the price, your existing subscription keeps the price you signed up at until you change plan yourself.
Plans cover CatchUpCast, CatchUpGist, or both together for less than the two separately, and there are larger plans with a bigger allowance for heavy listeners. Whichever you choose, it is one subscription, and you can switch between plans at any time through the Manage subscription link.
New subscriptions start with a free week. We ask for a card up front, but nothing is charged during the trial. We will email you before the trial ends, telling you the date and the amount, so the first charge is never a surprise. Cancel any time before that date and you pay nothing. If you switch plan during the trial, the trial carries on with the new plan and still ends on the same date.
Every subscription includes an allowance, and it is measured in what it costs us to serve you — not in emails, not in minutes of audio. Long newsletters cost more to process than short ones, so counting messages would be unfair in both directions.
The allowance is a fixed share of what you pay, scaled to the length of your billing period. A trial week gets roughly a quarter of a month's allowance, because it is roughly a quarter of a month.
On the plan with both products, each has its own allowance, in proportion to their separate prices, so heavy use of one can never stop the other. If one product uses up its allowance, it can borrow the other's spare, but never the part the other is on course to need for the rest of the billing period. Borrowing moves allowance between the two; it never lets the total go above what your plan includes.
You can see exactly where you stand at any time on your account page: how much of your allowance you have used, as a percentage, and the date it resets.
If you regularly need more, the pause email tells you whether another plan would give you more, and you can change plan through the Manage subscription link. If you believe a pause was caused by a problem on our side, email us and we will try to make it right.
Briefings and summaries are written by an AI model from the emails you choose to send it. They report what those emails say; they are not financial, investment, legal or medical advice from us, and they can contain mistakes. Check anything you plan to act on against the original email.
Cancel whenever you like, using the Manage subscription link in any receipt or email from us. You keep the service until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. We do not pro-rate a partial month.
If something went genuinely wrong — the service did not work, or we charged you for something you did not want — email us and we will try to make it right.
We should be straight about this, because the alternative is a page of boilerplate nobody reads.
Please do not: share your subscription token so several people use one subscription; route mail you do not have the right to read; or deliberately try to extract the service's own prompts or break its limits. We watch for the last of these, and we will suspend an account that is clearly doing it — after trying to reach you first, unless the damage is ongoing.
The privacy policy is the detailed answer. The short one: the text of your email is processed and not stored, your email address is encrypted, we never see your card, and we do not sell anything to anyone.
If we change anything that affects what you get or what you pay, we will email you before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you do not like it.
